What happens to them who leave the track?
Reading Karl Mannheim I was introduced to the term entelechy. Originally it's a philosophical concept of Aristoteles. The idea, that something has the characteristic to contain its aim (greek telos), what it's supposed to be, inside themselves. Think of a seed. Its entelechy is to grow and become a flower. Some will flourish and some won't.
trying to stay focused. this is not about competiton, fame or money. This even isn't something new. Just about someone-me hitting the road to get off the beaten tracks.
Back to Karl Mannheim's idea of entelechy. He's using this concept on a group of people. Every generation embodys latently an entelechy of its own. But only a few 'flourish' in a wide range; so the ones which are pushed by their/our entelechy left the beaten tracks. I'm here straying around. looking for you. asking you: what is this thing our generation is about? the answers is a picture. the only people I can ask about 'our entelechy' are the ones who had to follow their own. because it was louder than anything else.
'strong reasons make strong actions' Shakespear

and see, they've been growing here, while I was dreaming of them.
